Edge polisher machine (PMMA)
The edge polishing machine " Fresacryl" is constituted by a bearing plane fixed on a sturdy framework in which are accommodated in all electro -pneumatic feed and rotation.
The " Fresacryl" is a polisher on which is mounted a diamond cutter with three cutting edges , suitable for mirror polishing of cut edges or rough thermoplastic sheets.
The work pieces can be placed on the machine in packs or individually by a thickness of 3 to 60 mm.
The length of the work pieces is almost unlimited , but it is advisable in the case of machining workpieces of large dimensions , the use of special supports to adapt to the machine.
The progress of the workpiece on the machine is done by dragging two vertical rotary belts that tighten the piece to shine, we conduct a speed varying from 0.50 to 2 m / min.
In relation to the material to be processed will be desirable to identify the feedrate most suitable.
Eg : for a good polishing methacrylate sheets , the ideal speed is of 0.70-1 m / min.
The " Fresacryl" is very quiet ( 80dB max noise ).
The cutter is adjusted for average removal rates of about 0.5 mm.
The sharpening of the cutter is carried out on average every 4000 meters of work about , and should be carried out at our workshop.
Chip removal is done through a conveyor / pipe underneath the dinghy door cutter , connectable to a ' suction filter with power 1500 mc / h through a tube diameter of 70 mm.
